NEW LOTUS FOR SALE CONFIRMED IN SPORTS CAR SERIES ELISE, EXIGE, AND EVORA HIT THEIR FINAL YEAR OF PRODUCTION
Here it comes! A brand-new sports car line is set to hit the Lotus dealership, and it all starts with the production of the prototype Lotus Type 131. Production begins this year!
This is a new manufacturing investment plan that is part of the Lotus Vision80 strategy, which will also see two Lotus sub-assembly facilities merged into one efficient centralized operation that can support higher production volumes.
To help the new family of performance vehicles to become more recognizable, Lotus has provided an image that is sparking interest in the new generation of cars that will follow the Elise, Exige, and the Lotus Evora for sale currently but are at the end of their production cycles in 2021. A full range of exciting events is planned to celebrate the outgoing fleet of sports cars, beginning with the one that started it all, the iconic Lotus Elise for sale at your local Lotus dealership.
The Lotus Elise hit the showroom in 1995, and when it did, it revolutionized the low-volume sports car industry. It brought a pioneering vision for cars of its kind with extruded and bonded aluminum, high-tech composites, and lightweight innovation.
As a launching pad of technology that developed the Elise, the Lotus Exige took the showroom by storm in 2000, to quickly become the “race car for the road.” The Lotus Exige for sale immediately demonstrated an extremely rare ability to offer the driver an engaging experience on the road with the racing feel that one can only truly find on the most demanding tracks of the world, while still making safety and progressiveness the expectation, as Lotus tends to do.
Since 2008, the Lotus Evora for sale has been thought of as the vehicle that returned Lotus to the super-sports car realm through award-winning and versatile road performance that was considered more driver-focused than any other vehicles in its class. The Lotus Evora found success in motorsport too, winning GT championships all over the world, including a podium at the renowned Le Mans.
The next generation of Lotus sports cars is continuing the tradition of taking the best of their predecessors and enhancing them while maintaining the DNA of the Lotus brand to ensure the overarching criteria that makes Lotus “For the Driver.”
This year is a significant step for Lotus with the new, streamlined facilities coming on stream, an exciting new sports car being put through production, and delivering on new heights of design for efficiency and quality that you will only find at your Lotus dealership. Despite the ongoing global challenges that we have seen over the past year or more, Lotus has come out of 2020 strong and right on track to deliver on our Vision80 business plan. At Lotus, we are all about focus on the road ahead, and our future is set to bring you the latest innovations. This year is our opportunity to reflect on the legacy of our existing line of sports cars, beginning with the Lotus Elise for sale. This is a sports car that truly revolutionized the automotive world through its impact on design and technology, making it a legend on the road.
Lotus Executive Director of Engineering, Matt Windle, said, “Our renowned team of engineers, designers, and technicians who are working on the new cars are acutely aware of the legacy from the Elise, Exige, and Evora. Indeed, many were around when Elise was being developed. Members of our team, old and new, are now busy blending the learnings of the past with the innovations of today and tomorrow, to ensure our future cars truly move the game on but remain firmly committed to Lotus values.”
The Elise, Exige, and Evora found at our Lotus dealership today, have all contributed immensely to the Lotus brand over the years.
